Our friends from Old Navy Westminster Mall joined us to celebrate “Earth Day”. They had fun, educational, and inspirational activities about taking care of our planet Earth. Our members enjoyed sharing how they do their part in keeping their community clean and how they conserve energy and natural resources. Then they worked together to plant flowers to add beautiful color to our Club.
We began our partnership with Old Navy Westminster Mall over four years ago through a program called CAREER LAUNCH, and it’s great to see our relationship building- we have great friends in Old Navy Westminster Mall.
The Boys & Girls Club of Stanton held their Annual Youth of the Year ceremony to celebrate their outstanding members on Friday February 22, 2013. The ceremony included a special presentation, awarding members that have volunteered over 100 or more hours at the Club. These members received the President’s Volunteer Award. Jacob Lei (16) and Anthony Tran (15) received a Bronze Award for volunteering over 100 hours, David Ly (15) (not seen in picture) received a Gold award for volunteering over 200 hours, and Gabriela Cotociu (18), who was also selected as our overall Youth of the Year for the Club for 2012, received the Gold President’s Volunteer Award for volunteering over 400 hours at the Boys & Girls Club of Stanton.
