Harry Dotson Golf Marathon
On Monday, March 31, 2008 the Clubs first fund raiser of the year will take place, the Annual Harry Dotson Golf Marathon. Harry Dotson was a Club Board Memberr and Stanton Lions Club Member whose favorite motto was “It’s For The Kids”. Each year the Stanton Lions Club sponsors this event in Harry’s honor, so that 100% of the proceeds go directly to support the Club programs.

This event is played at the Candlewood Country Club in Whittier from dawn to dusk. Each player/golfer is asked to get sponsors/pledges. Their goal is to play 100 holes of golf and raise $1,000 all in one day. That is right, 100 holes of golf in one day. There is lots of food and fun throughout the day with only the Harry Dotson Golf Marathon players on the golf course.
